FAQ
Questions people ask, answered once.
The studio
Who is behind calmdownoscar?
Peter. He works full time in enterprise HR and builds the apps after his son Oscar falls asleep. More on the About page.
Where does the name come from?
In the Philippine riding community, “Oscar, calm down” is the joke when a rider does something a little unusual. At home, Oscar is the toddler who turns up in the page headers here.
Can you look at my app idea?
Start with the Idea Clinic. It asks a few questions in your browser and ends in a prompt for your own AI. Nothing is sent to me. For anything else, email peter@calmdownoscar.com.
What is the Playground?
Experiments, not products: an AI assistant that runs in your browser beside a hosted one, and a Norwegian A1 course open for testing. Things there can change or disappear. Open the Playground.

For Unli Rice, Unli Rice Capture and OpenGrail, open a GitHub issue: Unli Rice, OpenGrail.
For the other apps, email peter@calmdownoscar.com with what you expected, what happened instead, the steps to get there, and the app version and device. A screenshot helps. ClearSpace and Unli Disk also have support pages: ClearSpace, Unli Disk.

How do I get a refund?
Purchases go through Apple, so I can’t see or refund them. Request one from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

This website
Does this site use cookies?
No. It keeps your cookie settings and an unfinished Idea Clinic draft in your browser’s local storage, which never leaves your device. TikTok on Hobbies and the chat on Playground may set their own cookies, and they load only when you ask. Cookie settings.
What do you know about visitors?
Totals: how many page views, which pages, which sites sent people here, and the spread of countries, browsers and devices. It comes from Vercel Web Analytics, which stores nothing on your device and can’t tie a visit to a person. You can switch it off in Cookie settings. The details are in the privacy guidelines.
I followed a link and got a toddler instead.
That’s the 404 page. The address has moved or never existed. Email the link you followed and I’ll fix or redirect it.
