What Shuttle Vision Does (Honest Transparency)
Shuttle Vision provides high-frame-rate synchronized multi-angle replays, drift-compensated millisecond clock sync, instant ¼× slow-motion loops, official BWF rally rule enforcement, and offline multi-court tournament management. It does not pretend to make black-box automated line calls without human review; it gives players and umpires crystal-clear video evidence to make accurate calls themselves.

Master Tournament Desk & Live BWF Leaderboard
Monitors up to 8 live courts simultaneously. Calculates standings in real time based on official BWF tie-break rules (Matches Won > Game Difference > Head-to-Head > Point Difference > Points Ratio). Organizers hold master overrule authority, fixture generation (Round Robin, Single Elimination, Open Queue), and CSV export capabilities.
Scalable Multi-Camera Mesh (1 to 3 Phones)
Solo Mode (1 Phone): One phone mounted horizontally at the umpire chair or side of court for full-court lateral coverage — a standalone scoreboard, rolling video buffer, and VAR station.
Duo Mode (2 Phones): Two phones at opposing net poles (~40cm high) facing across the court, with drift-compensated clock sync, consensus scoring, and dual-angle replay.

Mount the Phone — Don't Hold It
Shuttle Vision tracks the shuttle by measuring how it moves between frames, so it assumes the camera itself is holding still. A handheld phone adds its own motion to every measurement: the shuttle's apparent speed and direction pick up your hand's shake, rolling shutter skews fast movement, and the tracker loses the shuttle more often mid-flight. On a tripod, everything that moves in frame is genuinely moving. Any steady mount works — a tripod, a clamp on the net post, or the phone propped against a bag — but handheld is the one setup we don't recommend for rally counting or line review.
Solo & Casual Match
1. Mount your iPhone horizontally on a tripod at the umpire chair or side of court (~1.2–1.6m high) so it sees the full court.
2. Tap Casual → Quick Start Match, or open Tournament → Solo Umpire Match to name the players first.
3. Tap or swipe up (+1) to score. Tap Umpire Review at any moment to settle a contested line call with slow-mo frame stepping.
Multi-Phone Court Rig
1. Host taps Tournament → Multi-Phone Mesh, picks Duo or Pro, then taps Pair with Other Phones to show the court QR code.
2. The second phone scans that code (or types the join code shown beneath it).
3. Place the phones at opposing net poles (~40cm high). Both cameras synchronize clocks automatically over direct P2P.
Master Tournament Desk
1. Open Shuttle Vision on an iPad and tap Tournament → Tournament Desk & Standings → Create Tournament.
2. Paste your player roster and generate Round Robin, Single Elimination or Open Court Queue fixtures.
3. Open the Master Desk and tap Connect Court Phone. Umpires scan the code, pick their court (Court 1–8), and begin live scorekeeping.

You can, and recording still works — but we don't recommend it. The shuttle tracker works out what the shuttle is doing by comparing its position frame to frame, which only means something if the camera stayed put. Handheld, your own movement gets added to the shuttle's, the tracker drops the shuttle more often mid-flight, and rolling shutter bends fast motion out of shape. A tripod is ideal, but anything that keeps the phone still — a net-post clamp, a bench, a propped-up bag — gets you most of the way there.
